EARTH

EARTH

Plastic planet

Plastic is made for the sake of Human convenience. As plastic usage is increasing more and more, it’s now beginning to threaten our lives. It seems like a SF story that there is a plastic waste island which is 6 times bigger than Korean peninsula floating in the middle of Pacific ocean. We all know well about the severe Micro dust matter. However the seriousness of Plastic waste is unfamiliar to us. This can be as, or maybe even more seriously endangering the world than Micro dust.

"Plastic Makes the Earth Suffer"

Plastic bags and products that we use and throw out everyday without thinking much disassemble into small fragments under the ocean. These pieces deceive fish and birds as being edible. We eat these fish and we can’t even eliminate the plastic pieces since they are too small to detect without a microscope. It’s even more dangerous to humans because toxic substances easily attach to these plastic fragments. It is known that only less than 50% of plastics are reused. In other words, over 50% of men-made plastics are wasted, endangering somebody whether that is a person or an animal.

"Small Changes make the Difference."

As a solution to improve this severe plastic matter, we strictly limit plastic usage. Furthermore, we try hard to practice ‘Zero-plastic’. We use yarns and metal pins, not plastic rings to hang price tags on our products. We also use right sized bags to minimize the over packaging. Moreover, we integrated product packaging and shipping packaging together to make one in order to avoid double packaging. We use paper tapes to make boxes reusable.
